SCRE4M

Whoop-Whoop!!! The first official poster for Scream 4 is here! It even has the release date of the movie. Yup, it's very exciting, but I'm trying not to get too stoked just yet because 4.15.11 is almost a year away! But they sure are building anticipation early.

image via www.perezhilton.com

Here's a preview of Entertainment Weekly's interview with director Wes Craven (holla!!):

Are Sidney, Gale, and Dewey still going to be the central characters, or are they on the periphery this time?
It’s a total integration of those three and new kids. The story of Sid, Gale, and Dewey is very much a part of the movie.

And Sid’s still having problems with Ghostface?
There have been 10 years of no Ghostface, but there has been the movie-within-a-movie Stab. We have fun with the idea of endless sequels, or “sequelitis” as Kevin calls it in the script. Sid goes through these three horrendous things, and Stab was based on those horrible things. And then they’ve been taken by a studio and run into the ground in a series of sequels. She has been off by herself and living her own life, and she’s even written a book that has gotten a lot of critical acclaim. She’s kind of put her life back together in the course of these 10 years. But, certainly, there would be no Scream without Ghostface, so she has to confront him again, but now as a woman who has really come out the darkness of her past.

As for the poster’s tag line, “New decade, new rules,” are the new rules going to specifically comment on what’s happened these last 10 years with horror movies?
It’s very much about the last 10 years, and where we are right now. “New decade, new rules” is very much the keynote of the film, that is, trying to figure out what sort of rules (the new Ghostface) is following. How do we fight this killer without a road map? We have to figure out where we are.

Can we count on Scream 4 remaining an R-rated movie with blood and guts and all that fun stuff?
I think that’s safe to say. I’ve very excited about it. At this point in my career, Scream is one of the longest running stories I’ve told. It’s fascinating to still have actors who are very much into continuing their roles and have great chemistry. Part of the reason these three characters are still alive is because they’re so great. We haven’t wanted to kill them.

Fun TV RomCom

RomComs are absolutely the best! I mean, I can get down with the dirty raw comedies, no problem. But in my heart there will always be a place for romantic comedies. They're predictable and corny-- but they're funny (duh) and romantic (double duh), which makes them so fun to watch.

Today I saw a made for t.v. romantic comedy on the ABC Family Channel. Which, by the way, they make some really awesome and cute comedies, especially the Christmas movies. Plus they always have the most adorable cast. The movie I saw today was My Fake Fiance staring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence. Oh yea, two awesome stars from the '90s. MJH from Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Joey L from Blossom and Brotherly Love. And gosh darn it, they just made the best couple for this movie.

Obviously (from the title) they become engaged, but not for real. They do it because they're both broke and want the gifts and money that couples get at their weddings. It has so many laugh out loud moments. Of course it had a predictable ending, some not great acting moments (Melissa Joan Hart is not believable when she cries onscreen), and some serious sappy moments, but all in all, it was totally worth watching.

I suggest My Fake Fiance for anyone who likes good romantic comedies or Lifetime type movies. It was made in 2009, so it's bearable to watch when it comes to the technology, clothing, etc. Plus the soundtrack is really good! In fact, there's a great cover of Can't Hurry Love at the very end which I googled as soon as I finished watching it. (Meiko covers the song in the movie.)

Character OTW

The Character of the Week is:

image(s) via google images

Seth Cohen

Yummmers!!! Man, I miss The O.C.! How you spiraled down in the ratings after Marissa was killed off still confuses me. I mean, she was the worst part of the show. The ratings should have soared after she left, especially because one less actor, meant more screen time for Adam Brody, who played the adorable Seth Cohen. Dorky. Funny. Clueless. Romantic. Gorgeous. ahhhh... drool...mmmm.... Whoops, I was distracted (maybe I shouldn't have a picture of Adam Brody right above my laptop?).

He was the geek with no friends, so when his father brought in tough guy Ryan, Seth looked like a kid who just got a new puppy on Christmas. Finally, comic reading, music loving, loner Seth had a friend. Awww! Honestly, their friendship was a really fantastic aspect of the show. Two totally complete opposites finding someone they can depend on. Again-- Awwww!!!

And the thing that had me coming back every week was the "love" between Seth and Summer. Man, when it comes to t.v. couples, they are too freakin' awesome! Summer who thought she was too good for him and Seth who was completely obsessed (come on, he named his sailboat after her!), became the couple every one rooted for. Yea, Ryan and Marissa (gag) were supposed to be the couple of the show, but that didn't work out. (You know, cos she died and all).

I, unfortunately, missed the very last season. Boo. But I did catch the series finale, because I needed to make sure Seth got what he deserved- LOVE. (Corny, yes, but so cute). And he did, him and Summer eventually got married. One last time now--AWWW!!!

Seth Cohen, the son of very wealthy parents was the lonely cast-out. But he was the one who provided all the laughs and Chrismukkah. He was awkward, but likable. He never really knew the right thing to say and even did some stupid things but he was always so innocent, he was the kind of character you could never hate. Plus, that hair, his smile and dimple, those teeth, his converse and clothes, gosh, he was just amazing to look at. (I think my love for this fictional character has made me biased, but this is my blog and I can chose whoever I want for character OTW, so suck on that!)

I think Adam Brody did a great job portraying the awkward, shy, nerdy high-school student pining for the beautiful popular girl. He made the character who he was. When you talk to any fan of the show, they will tell you that Seth Cohen was the best character because he was funny and weird, and most of all (and most importantly) he was relatable.

I wouldn't mind Adam back on my television screen playing another character like Seth. I love seeing him in movies of course, but I'd really enjoy seeing him showing up in my room once a week- making me laugh, being awkward, and making me wish that I could be Mrs. Brody. Hey, it could happen!

Pretty Little Devils Book Review

image via www.amazon.com
Don't get Pretty Little Devils confused with the amazing book series Pretty Little Liars, because honestly, it has many, many differences. Yes, they're both set in High School, there's murder in the plot, and those murderers use the same method of communicating with those they're torturing- by texts, calls, and emails. But other than that, the characters and their relationships to one another is very different, as are the plots.

Pretty Little Devils was a pretty decent read. It kept me hooked and in suspense the whole time. While reading this book I kept changing my mind as to who I believed to be the killer. I thought four different people could have been it, which makes it obvious that it's the kind of book that will keep you on your toes.

I think a few characters lacked depth, but those usually were the ones who were killed. Also, the way the teenagers spoke at times wasn't very realistic. It seems some authors just don't get how younger people talk, and that can really ruin moments in books. It can make a character, whom you start to feel could be a real person, not seem so real anymore.

Pretty Little Devils was an easy, suspenseful, and interesting book. The ending left it open for a sequel, but since the book was written in '06, and Nancy Holder is busy with many other projects, it's hard to believe there will ever be another PLD book. I find that very disappointing. It sucks when a good book ends with a cliffhanger and then there's no follow up. It would have been awesome to see the author develop the characters even more and to see what happens to the group of girls involved.

I guess I'm just very mixed about it. Had there been a sequel or a complete closing to the story, I would have been jumping for joy over this book. But the always wondering of what the author could have written after is really irking me!

I would recommend this book to those who don't mind slight cliffhangers, because it's worth the read. Plus, if you read fast like me, it can be read in a day or two. Oh and by the way, if you've seen the movie Legacy (also known by the title of Pretty Little Devils), don't be fooled, the book and the movie are nothing alike.

Video OTW: Yes, This is REAL, and it is AWESOME

The Video of the Week is:

Epic and Honest
Mobile Home
Commercial

This is one hundred percent real folks! It's so freakin' funny, totally random, and really seems like it's fake. But I promise you, it is not fake at all!

Here's the deal-- anyone can nominate a local business, including small business owners themselves. If that business is chosen, then two guys named Rhett & Link will go to wherever that business is located, and make a (funny) commercial for them. This program is supported by MicroBilt Corporation, and they want to help smaller businesses build profit. Isn't that super nice?! Check out the website http://ilovelocalcommercials.com for more commercials and to learn about Rhett & Link and how they're helping out many local businesses.

It's ALL about YOU!

image via www.allyou.com
I'm a sucker for any kind of magazine. Gossip, Crafts, Womens, fitness, and so on. And lucky me, I recently discovered a new magazine, called All You. It has recipes, organization tips, DIY ideas, fitness tips, shopping on a budget articles, and really great items and websites within the magazine. Also, almost every single advertisement came with a coupon, and they're actually coupons for things you need or want! It even has Tip Strips that you can cut out and keep with you, a monthly menu planner, and great prizes you can win (link to website). Their website http://www.allyou.com is really helpful as well, so be sure to take a peek at their web-page soon. And next time you see a All You magazine at the check-out stand don't forget to give it a chance. Just because it doesn't have a celebrity on the cover doesn't mean it's not a good magazine!

Song OTW

The Song of the Week:

image via www.amazon.com

Haven't Met You Yet

I'm sure you've heard this on the radio recently. It's a really beautiful song. It's great for those who feel like they'll never find the one. Check out the lyrics if you don't know what I mean. Download this song, or, like me Download the whole album Crazy Love, it's classical and jazzy, but yet is current as well. I love how Michael B. can pull that off. The title song, Crazy Love is amazing, fun, and catchy, be sure to give that a listen as well.

Haven't Met You Yet:

I'm not surprised.
Not everything lasts.
I've broken my heart so many times I stopped keeping track.
Talk myself in.
I talk myself out.
I get all worked up, then I let myself down.

I tried so very hard not to lose it.
I came up with a million excuses.
I thought I thought of every possibility.

And I know someday that it'll all turn out.
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out.
And I promise you, kid, that I'll give so much more than I get.
I just haven't met you yet.

I might have to wait.
I'll never give up.
I guess it's half timing,
And the other half's luck.
Wherever you are.
Whenever it's right.
You'll come out of nowhere and into my life.

And I know that we can be so amazing.
And baby your love is gonna change me.
And now I can see every possibility.

But somehow I know that it'll all turn out.
And you'll make me work so we can work to work it out.
And I promise you, kid, I'll give so much more than I get.
I just haven't met you yet.

They say all's fair
In love and war.
But I won't need to fight it.
We'll get it right and,
We'll be united.

And I know that we can be so amazing.
And being in your life is gonna change me.
And now I can see every single possibility, mmmm.

And someday I know it'll all turn out.
And I'll work to work it out.
Promise you, kid, I'll give more than I get,
Than I get, than I get, than I get.

You know it'll all turn out.
And you'll make me work so we can work to work it out.
And I promise you, kid, that I'll give so much more than I get.
I just haven't met you yet.

I just haven't met you yet.
Ohh, promise you, kid, to give so much than I get.

(I said love, love, love, love...)
I just haven't met you yet
I just haven't met you yet.

Extra bonus: Crappy Song OTW: Eenie Meenie by Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber. Not J. Bieber's biggest fan, but I give him credit for being so young, having great talent, and being down to earth and hecka funny in interviews. I just wish he, and S. Kingston never made this song. It's rediculous. I'll add this song to the "change the station when this song comes on" list. ;)

Website OTW

The Website of the Week is:

www.IMDB.com

If you're just now hearing of this website, I'm very sorry you've been missing out for so long. This so happens to be one of my top favorite sites ever! IMDB stands for Internet Movie Database. (Duh, it's right under the logo!) I am such a movie/television/celebrity freak that this website makes me drool. (Not literally of course).

Ever been watching a movie and wonder "where the heck have I seen that person before?" or "what is that actors name?!". Just go to this site and type the movie title in the search bar. Either it'll go directly to it's page or it'll give you different ones to choose from, because not all movie titles are so original (shock!). Once you're at a movie page, or television page, there's so much information provided. Synopsis, trailers, tagline, awards, genre, writer, director, the cast lists, pictures, and more! You can also search or click on an actor and see pretty much everything they've done in their career, from the movies they were in, guest spots they had, soundtracks they were on, and so much more.

It's also really great to use if you want to know what movies you haven't seen that favorite actors are in, or what their upcoming projects are. And while you're there, don't worry about checking Fandango or searching for the Top Box Office movies, upcoming movies, movies opening that week, newly released DVDS, TV listings, and so much more, because it's all on the homepage.

Once you have discovered this site, you will understand how useful and addicting it can be! Better bookmark it now, it'll come in handy.

DIY OTW

This week was the very first week I have been posting OTW's and I saved the best for last, because Sundays will be DIY of the week!

I absolutely love reading DIY books and websites. I don't always make the projects, but they totally look fun. I figure I'll do a nice mix of DIY's-- some will be projects I find online and some will be DIY projects of my own. :)

DIY of the Week:

Chalk Board Gift Tags!

Since this is the first week I'm doing a DIY post, I thought I'd do something pretty easy. I found this idea at www.robomargo.com which has tons and tons of "Do It Yourself" projects. It's a really cool and creative idea, especially for those on a budget. Imagine your family and friends reaction if you were to attach this to their present? And what's extra neat is that it can be used for other things like labels or notes.

Needed:
  • Formica Samples (Lowe's, Home Depot)

  • Chalk Board Spray (Lowe's, Home Depot)

The instructions are so easy and fast, all you have to do is spray the Formica Sample with the Chalk Board paint. Let it dry. And coat a few times. When people ask you how you did it, tell them it's quite difficult, and really hard to teach. That way it looks like you worked very hard and you will always be the only one with chalk board gift tags! ;)

Personal Blog OTW

This is my first ever Personal Blog OTW, and I really want you, the reader, to understand me as a person. The way I feel about things in my own life and my thoughts on everything else as well. I may talk a lot about celebrities and what not, but that's not all that goes on in my mind. I'm not that superficial or vain, even if some may argue otherwise. ;)

Personal Blog of the Week:

image via www.tinypic.com

She's such a Bitch,

Isn't she? "She" -- as in every female with strong opinions. A woman who speaks her mind, a woman who doesn't like to be treated like complete shiz. She is just such a bitch! That word gets thrown around so much and apparently almost every female happens to be one. Maybe people call women that because they can't think of any other ways of describing that person (idea: expand your vocabulary). And I'll admit, we really can be bitchy at times, but most of us that are called a "bitch" have a reason to be one.

Most people don't just act like that for fun. Those who do act that way purposefully? Those are the real bitches. The ones that are malicious and hurtful just because they can be. What's sad, is that woman that are actually like that get away with it. And that's totally fair that they get away with it, right? While other (nice) girls who have momentary attitudes, are a total beotch.

I for one can get really pissed off sometimes. And yea, I may yell and have an attitude of an Ice Queen on occasion, but that is not my personality. That's not who I am as a person, that's just how I act sometimes when things aren't right. Shouldn't we all be allowed to have those moments, without being hurtfully called a bitch?

And so what if I have really strong opinions, who doesn't? Some people chose to state their opinions, some don't, and some force them on you. (Hmmm... seems like the forceful person would be the bitch?)

Some words are used to describe people too often that aren't exactly the right words to use. And no matter what women say, being called a bitch is not okay. If someone is truly a malicious, always unpleasant, and selfish person, then,(according to the dictionary), you can call them a bitch. Because that's what they are. Don't be quick to throw that word out on someone who's having a bad day, or is frustrated momentarily, or if it's someone you love. It's disrespectful and just plain rude.

Seriously, this promo for Gossip Girl speaks for itself. Blair takes being a bitch to another level. If you don't watch GG, you're insane.

Wanted: Another actress please!

Wanted is one of my all time favorite movies (James McAvoy is gorgeous!). Ever since there has been talk about making Wanted 2, I've been extremely excited. I really do not like Angelina "Home-wrecker" Jolie, and as much as it pains to me to have a favorite movie staring Mrs. Homewrecker, I can say I wouldn't have minded her being in the sequel. Plus, the writers would probably come up with some really wicked way of bringing her back, and that would have been neat. However, Jolie has backed out of the project, due to scheduling difficulties. Whatever. That's cool, as long as the story is awesome and James McAvoy is kicking some major ass while looking extremely sexy, then no big deal, right? Obviously there is going to be a female lead role. Probably the love interest (duh), and this person would most likely be a strong, hard-core, confident woman. So who is in talks to be the female lead? Shoot me now, Kristin effing Stewart. Please. No. No. NO! I'm not a fan of her at all, come on, she totally ruins Twilight, and she is so freakin' ungrateful for the career Twilight has given her. They should just keep casting her in Indie films, with awkward, lip biting, stuttering characters. I honestly can not see her being a bad-ass action star. Seriously, it'd be such a joke. Agree or disagree? Can you see Kristin Stewart being a total bad-ass in a movie? Do you think she can be the Angelina Jolie of Wanted 2? The only way I'd like to see her in the next movie is if what happened to Jolie at the end of Wanted happens to Stewart in the beginning of the sequel, a bullet to the head. Ha.

More Glee Music! Squeeee!!!!

image via www.facebook.com/glee

YES! YES! YES! This is all kinds of awesome. Glee is coming out with yet another album. I own volume one, which is brilliant. (Somebody to Love gives me goosebumps each time I hear it!) And I have volume two on my iTunes, which is just as great. And now I'm burning with anticipation for Volume three, Showstoppers, which drops on May 18th. Squeeee!!!! (that's my internet happy scream!)

The track list is blowing my mind. Only some of them have been aired, and they were super fantastic. I can't wait to hear the other songs when I get the album, and I'm stoked to see the those songs performed on the show, especially by some of the guest stars! One more time, do it with me... SQUEEEE!!!!!

Here's the track listing for ---
(not included: the performer of each song):

1. Hello Goodbye
2. Gives You Hell
3. Hello
4. A House Is Not A Home
5. One Less Bell To Answer/A House Is Not A Home
6. Beautiful
7. Physical
8. Total Eclipse Of The Heart
9. Lady Is A Tramp
10. One
11. Rose's Turn
12. Dream On
13. Safety Dance
14. I Dreamed A Dream
15. Loser
16. Give Up The Funk
17. Beth
18. Poker Face
19. Bad Romance

Oh, Archie!

I used to read Archie comics religiously as a kid. This boy in fifth grade found out how much I loved the comic, so he started bringing me a new copy every chance he got. Sadly, it never worked out between us. Me and the boy, not me and Archie!

When it came to Betty and Veronica I was always a Betty, but I still had a soft spot for the spoiled Veronica. Actually, Veronica is my all time favorite name, that's possibly why I actually liked her character! Each time I see the comics at the check out stand at a grocery store, I no longer beg my mom for it (I am 22, that would be weird), in fact, I don't even buy it for myself. Boo. I really should get back into reading it, I really enjoyed it! And, it seems they are really with the times now.

Apparently they are now adding a new character... who happens to be gay. But they're not making a big deal that he's gay, all the other characters aren't bothered by it, nor do they press the issue. Well, except that before most of everyone finds out, Veronica falls for him. Ha, honey, don't go down that road. I've been there, it'll only end in heartbreak, and his boyfriend punching you in the face.

So, if you're awesome--as in, not a discriminating asshole, then you should check it out, like I'm thinking of doing. Here's a sneak peek bitches.

Lyrics by Elle OTW

I told you this blog was going to be a little bit of everything, didn't I? Mostly, it's about things I follow in the entertainment industry. Music, Television, Celebrities, Movies, and so on. But it's also about me. Those who read blogs about entertainment want to feel a connection to the writer as well (at least that's how I feel). And obviously I love to write, and I want to share that with you. That's why two out of the seven OTW's are going to be more personal. For example, Friday's will be Lyrics by Elle of the Week.

I've been writing poetry and lyrics for as far back as I can remember. I still keep all my notebooks from high school, because they have more of my lyrics/poems than notes for classes. (Yea, I didn't do so well in school...) I love to share my best lyrics with the world, but I can't sing and I can't play an instrument (Well, I did play the clarinet way back in the day). So the only way I can really share my writing with everyone is by posting it online. (and reading it to whoever who will listen!)

Every Friday I will post either some of my best lyrics or maybe some brand new lyrics. For the first one, I will post my first ever shared lyrics. This was a song I wrote in high school and the first song I even remember reading and sharing with people. It also happens to be one of my first posts on my myspace blogs. It's a little different than the original, as I grow as a writer, I learn how to make previous songs even better than they were. Check it out.

Lyrics by Elle of the Week:

-Romantic-

You sang as you strummed your guitar
You seemed so near but yet so far

I watched your lips as words flowed out

I tried to read your mind-to see what you were thinking about

You laid down your guitar

And then held me in your arms

Now this may seem romantic as I sing these words,

But keep listening to my story-
Things don't get better,
They only get worse

It wasn't just me and you,
There was someone else too.

He strummed his guitar,

He was in his own little world,

But remembering something I said,

You said I must keep my word.
This may seem romantic as i sing these words

But keep listening to my story

Things don't get better,

They only get worse

I did what I did,
because I wanted to,

Who would've known I would fall so hard for you?

It's my own mistake-for falling for your games,

But what can I say?
I wanted to play.

Is this seeming less romantic as I sing these words?

That's because it is, as things don't get better,

They only get worse

Call me naive,
I didn't think that's all you'd want me for,

But after that night,
you don't talk to me anymore,

Tell me what that's all about?

I fell hard for you, there's no doubt.

Not the romantic story you thought I would sing

Cos in the end guys only want one thing

Yeah this isn't romantic,

No, not at all,

I'm singing this song,

As I increasingly fall.
This isn't romantic,

Not your typical love song...
I'm singing of all that's messed up,
And all that goes wrong
.
It's about all the mistakes-
That just happened to be made,

And about those boys who strum their guitars-
As you fall for their games

This may seem less romantic,
And more pathetic as I sing these words,
That's because it is when things don't get better,

They only get worse.

Character OTW

It may seem like a bad sign that I did not post my OTW yesterday. But, we're all positive people here, right? I'm new to this whole blogging thing, and I'm honestly trying to figure out how to plan everything in a timely matter. It also doesn't help that I am such a procrastinator. Tsk Tsk, I know.

Now that you're done thinking mean things about me, let's get on with yesterdays OTW. As I was brainstorming ideas for seven OTW's, I got kind of stuck after a few ideas. Then, Wa-BAM, it came to me... something I thought could be really interesting. Character of the week. Not a real person--- a character. Could be a movie, t.v. show, literary, or cartoon character, and so on. Pretty clever, don't ya think?

The Character of the Week is:

image via www.celeblove.com

Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan from Fox's Bones

There are so many different characters on television these days, a lot of which are difficult for watchers to connect with. So when a character stands out as strongly as Temperance Brennan, it's hard not to take notice. In fact, the show has such a solid foundation with it's characters, it's impossible not to feel connected to the whole cast. The show follows Dr. Brennan and Special Agent Booth, who solve murders using forensic anthropology, and have mad crazy chemistry. (They are so meant to be together!)

It's evident that the writers put a lot of thought into Temperance, from her back story (quite sad, actually) to the way she is as a person. Successful, smart, and wealthy, it would seem she has it all. However, the important quality she lacks is compassion in common sense situations. Also, she doesn't censor herself, even around victims families, and her opinions can be difficult to understand. But Bones isn't like that just for the sake of the show itself. There are reasons to why she puts walls up and states facts rather than expressing feelings. She spent most of her teenage years going in and out of foster homes, after being abandoned by her parents and older brother, and got picked on a lot as a kid.

I think, at the core, her whole story is just really sad. I find her to be very interesting and I can really connect with her. Plus, she is really funny. Not purposely funny of course, most of the time she doesn't even understand jokes, let alone make the jokes herself. And when she does make a joke that she finds to be hilarious, no one really gets it.

It also helps that Emily Dechanel is crazy good at portraying Bones. She's a fantastic actress and has great chemistry with David Boreanaz (isn't he smokin' hot?!). I'm huge fan of Bones and I think you should be too! :) It's already on its 5th season (yay!) and recently celebrated their 100th episode!! Check it out, Thursday nights on Fox.

Video OTW

This week is super special because it's the first week I'm doing my OTW's!!! Monday was Website OTW and Tuesday was Song OTW, so if you missed out on those, check 'em out!

I've decided that Wednesdays are going to be Video of the week, and to kick off the first ever video, I found an amazing video of someone who is so freakin' talented. Yes, I am totally jealous of this girl. This girl who is five years YOUNGER than me. So. Not. Fair! But, all is well, because even though I am not her *sigh* I can still enjoy the talent she shares with the world :)

The Video OTW is:

Demi Lovato's cover of Christina Aguilera's Mercy on Me

How adorable is it when she says she's going to mess up in the beginning of the video? Pssh, with a voice like that, I'd be shocked to all hell if she messed up.

I'm not going to lie, I was surprised that she has the vocal range of Christina and pulled off that song. I think what happens is that I put Christina on this extremely high pedestal assuming no one can truly sing like her. But, holy crow, here comes Demi Lovato with a vocal range that can match Christina freakin' Aguilera's! Insanity I say!

If you don't believe the words I'm writing, then watch this video. Then afterward, listen to the original by Aguilera herself. Now, this isn't the best quality video, probably because there was no mic, so it's a little hard to hear the quieter parts of the vocal, but those high notes--- damnnnn girl. I also saw a video someone put together of live performances by both of these artists, showing them hitting the same notes, and it was pretty amazing. YouTube it if you still need further proof.

And while you're on YouTube, check out more of Demi's live performances. She may be a Disney star, but she is a true performer and artist! Of course Christina is way more seasoned in the industry and has more hits then Demi could hope for at this stage of her own career. But at 17 and with that voice, it's evident that she has a very long successful career ahead of her.

Check out her acting chops on the Disney Channel, Sunday nights, on Sonny with a Chance. (She's really quite funny) And, she has a guest appearance on Greys Anatomy very soon, (I'm not sure of the date yet) but I can say I am so stoked for her episode. Plus, she's playing a schizophrenic, which is a whole lot different than her character Sonny. If she pulls off this role, then there won't be anything this girl can't do. (Yea, I already said it, but I'll say it again-- I am sooo jealous!)

Song OTW

It's Tuesday. And it's time for my first official Song OTW! I thought I'd start out with a simple song. It's beautiful, short (only 40 seconds), and straight to the point. It's also in my depressing, I'll always love him, pathetic love songs playlist on iTunes. (We all have some version of this playlist right?)

The Song of the week is:

Parachutes by Coldplay

Let me start by saying I'm not the biggest Coldplay fan (don't hurt me, please!). But this song is brilliant. Like i said, it's straight to the point. Only 40 seconds long and all these feelings rush through me. I love when a song can make me think of someone or something, even if it's not something I really want to dwell on.

The lyrics are:

In a haze, a stormy haze
I’ll be round, I’ll be loving you, always
Always

Here I am and I'll take my time
Here I am and I’ll wait in line, always
Always

Beautiful, right? We all wait for that someone, maybe it's someone we already met, or someone we are hoping to meet. Uh, well, actually, maybe you're one of the people who didn't have to wait, and you are already with the love of your life. In that case, leave my blog right at this moment. I can't look at you.

haha. I joke.

In all seriousness. This song is fan-freakin'-tastic. Download it now. Yea, right this second! :)

(Hopefully I'll figure out how to post songs without the videos by next week, so you can listen to my Song OTW's before downloading them)

Rawrrr...

What's not to love about this promo for The Vampire Diaries? I love it- "Connected to her mother by blood, not love." (Aren't most dysfunctional families like that? Ha!). It just sounds so frickin' intense.

If you're a fan of this tasty (get it?) show, then you know what this spells out. Drama. Suspense. Shockers. Oh, my!

Isobel (Elena's mom) is showing up to Mystic Falls on April 29th. Now that we know when Elena's (sure to be crazy bitch of a mother) is showing up, question now is, when the heck is Kathrine coming to town?

[Side note: The casting director did a brilliant job, right? They really do look like they could be mother and daughter.]

Save The Date

Oh, Christina- The voice, the lyrics, the music, the videos, how I've missed you so! Never to disappoint, Christina Aguilera's new album is sure to satisfy true music fanatics. Talent is talent, and Christina has proven again and again that she is one of the most talented entertainers in the business. And, thank the heavens above, after 4 years, Christina is releasing a brand new, full album, Bionic.

She's always changing, but yet stays true to herself. From her self titled freshman album to her greatest hits album (it did have new songs, so of course I've included it) she has showcased her amazing vocal range and her amazing lyrical skills. Yes, Genie in a Bottle was so pop it hurts, but she's proven that she can do anything. She's one of the lucky artists who was able to grow and take control of the songs she wanted to record and release. And through all the controversy over the years, she never stopped doing what she loved and what she felt was right for her.

Although Stripped is my favorite albums from Christina, and I don't see her outdoing the genius that was Stripped with the direction she seems to be going, I know that I will love her album either way. If you're a huge fan like I am, and like to support the artists you honestly believe in, get the album Bionic when it drops June 8, 2010!

Monday: Website OTW

This is my first official OTW post. (OTW: Of The Week). And I need to post this soon, because Monday is over in a little over 20 minutes as I am writing this. Oops, procrastinator alert!

Monday is going to be Website Of The Week!!!! Obviously if I'm blogging you must assume at least two things. Number one being that I'm awesome. Okay, that's not really one of the two things, but you know you think I'm awesome.

Okay, for reals yo, two things you must assume about a blogger. One: They love to write! Two: They very much enjoy the internet! So, of course my first OTW is going to be favorite websites. And I have a lot of them (although, I always get bored after a few hours... hmmm...).

Let's get started, shall we?

Website of the week is:Justify Full(cue dramatic music)

http://failbook.com

No, not Facebook... FAILBOOK. It brings together facebook, comedy, and lots of idiots into one awesome site. Unfortunately they block out all names, so we cannot search for these dumb asses and tell them how challanged they are. Boo.

Besides that sad downfall, it really is quite entertaining. In fact, it can make me procrastinate for a very long time. Yes, I blame my procrastination on the internet. Damn you internet and your millions upon millions of pointless websites that wastes much more of my time than I should allow. Waahhh.

Moving on. You must check out this website. Then post all the hillarousness (I know it's not a word, especially because I see a red underline beneath it) you find onto your facebook. It will get you through your boredom and through those hours and hours of putting off more important things. Don't worry, I won't tell.
