More Moore!

Guest spots on How I Met Your Mother and Grey's Anatomy wasn't the end of Mandy Moore on the television screen; the singer and actress is determined to be on a new series this fall. She was originally staring in a comedy pilot titled Pulling on ABC, but recently left the project due to "creative differences" with Mandy not agreeing with the changes made to her character.

It would have been exciting to see Moore in a comedy, but I think a drama will be suited a bit more for her. She will be staring along side (yummy) Ben McKenzie (The O.C., Southland) in a one-hour drama The Advocates on CBS. This is a good thing because if it gets picked up (they're shooting the pilot now) then there's a good chance this show could go far. CBS is known for long lasting shows, whether or not it has the best ratings.

Hopefully Mandy and Ben have the chemistry to pull off this drama and get CBS to greenlight the show for next fall! I'll be posting a preview of the show as soon as it is released! Aggghhhh . . . I'm so excited, I love Mandy Moore so much!!

How freaking exciting!!!!!!
It's great that such big actors came back to do the show, they obviously believed, and still do believe, in it! All the actors have grown and grown as comedians since the show, I'm expecting big things!

Little Miss Funny Turned Little Miss Crazy

All That. The Amanda Show. Big Fat Liar. What A Girl Wants. What I Like About You. She's The Man. Sydney White. Easy A. I grew up with Amanda Bynes, watching her in shows and movies and laughing at how kooky hilarious she is. Which makes it even harder to see her turn a bit cray-cray. Hard to blame her though, we see this all the time; Britney, Lindsay, and so on. We all wish for fame, but it seems that growing up in the business can really take a toll on a person. Even someone who seemed to have it all together. In the last couple of years she's had two hit-and-runs and a DUI as well as being known to post some crazy shiz on her Twitter account. Recently she's pierced her cheeks, got super tan, and is packing on the make-up. Now I'm all for being who you are and  I love piercings and tattoos, but it all seems a bit much to me and way out of character. She's almost 27, it's not like she grew up and changed AS she grew, like Miley Cyrus. No, this is a legit adult who seems to be having a mid-twenties crisis.

Bynes hasn't been in a movie or a television show in almost three years, Easy A being the last film she did in which she didn't even star. Here's to hoping she gets the help she so obviously needs and is able to work again. I miss her random and quirky sense of humor.

Stoked for Love

Reality matchmaking shows are not my thing. I tried The Bachelor but I just couldn't get into it. I believe a handful of contestants on dating shows actually want love, but more often than not, they're just wanting fame.

Lately previews for Ready For Love have been all over TV and the first thing that caught my attention was that the featured lead singer of one of my all time favorite bands Plain White T's, Tim Lopez,  (sang lead on Rhythm Of Love) will be searching for the one on this new NBC dating show.

The second part that caught my attention is how real it seems to be. In one preview producer Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) talks about why this show is different. The reason it's different is that they hired the top three matchmakers in the country versus hiring casting agents like other shows. I think that's amazing because they're not casting "parts", like who's going to be the "drama queen" or "America's sweetheart".

Basically, I'm super stoked for Ready For Love, it looks romantic, sweet, and most importantly, REAL. Although, since my brother was on Catfish: The TV Show and I saw a lot of stuff behind the scenes, I also realize that reality television is never what it seems. For a deeper look into this upcoming series, watch the video below.

I Am LOST Without Them

Spoiler Alert! If you have not seen the latest episode of Lost, get the hell out of here pronto!! This is an episode you HAVE to watch before reading anything about it! Okay, I warned you!

*sob* Last nights episode of Lost was the most romantic and tragic episode yet. Jin and Sun's last scene together on the island (I'm assuming, since they died), was absolutely beautiful. It was a little bit Titanic, but even sadder.

I'm not going to say too much about it, because thinking of it makes me tear up bad. Good news is that they are still alive in the sideways world. That doesn't make last nights episode any less tragic.

PS-I love you Sawyer, but what you did was just plain stupid.

Fun TV RomCom

RomComs are absolutely the best! I mean, I can get down with the dirty raw comedies, no problem. But in my heart there will always be a place for romantic comedies. They're predictable and corny-- but they're funny (duh) and romantic (double duh), which makes them so fun to watch.

Today I saw a made for t.v. romantic comedy on the ABC Family Channel. Which, by the way, they make some really awesome and cute comedies, especially the Christmas movies. Plus they always have the most adorable cast. The movie I saw today was My Fake Fiance staring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence. Oh yea, two awesome stars from the '90s. MJH from Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Joey L from Blossom and Brotherly Love. And gosh darn it, they just made the best couple for this movie.

Obviously (from the title) they become engaged, but not for real. They do it because they're both broke and want the gifts and money that couples get at their weddings. It has so many laugh out loud moments. Of course it had a predictable ending, some not great acting moments (Melissa Joan Hart is not believable when she cries onscreen), and some serious sappy moments, but all in all, it was totally worth watching.

I suggest My Fake Fiance for anyone who likes good romantic comedies or Lifetime type movies. It was made in 2009, so it's bearable to watch when it comes to the technology, clothing, etc. Plus the soundtrack is really good! In fact, there's a great cover of Can't Hurry Love at the very end which I googled as soon as I finished watching it. (Meiko covers the song in the movie.)

Character OTW

The Character of the Week is:

image(s) via google images

Seth Cohen

Yummmers!!! Man, I miss The O.C.! How you spiraled down in the ratings after Marissa was killed off still confuses me. I mean, she was the worst part of the show. The ratings should have soared after she left, especially because one less actor, meant more screen time for Adam Brody, who played the adorable Seth Cohen. Dorky. Funny. Clueless. Romantic. Gorgeous. ahhhh... drool...mmmm.... Whoops, I was distracted (maybe I shouldn't have a picture of Adam Brody right above my laptop?).

He was the geek with no friends, so when his father brought in tough guy Ryan, Seth looked like a kid who just got a new puppy on Christmas. Finally, comic reading, music loving, loner Seth had a friend. Awww! Honestly, their friendship was a really fantastic aspect of the show. Two totally complete opposites finding someone they can depend on. Again-- Awwww!!!

And the thing that had me coming back every week was the "love" between Seth and Summer. Man, when it comes to t.v. couples, they are too freakin' awesome! Summer who thought she was too good for him and Seth who was completely obsessed (come on, he named his sailboat after her!), became the couple every one rooted for. Yea, Ryan and Marissa (gag) were supposed to be the couple of the show, but that didn't work out. (You know, cos she died and all).

I, unfortunately, missed the very last season. Boo. But I did catch the series finale, because I needed to make sure Seth got what he deserved- LOVE. (Corny, yes, but so cute). And he did, him and Summer eventually got married. One last time now--AWWW!!!

Seth Cohen, the son of very wealthy parents was the lonely cast-out. But he was the one who provided all the laughs and Chrismukkah. He was awkward, but likable. He never really knew the right thing to say and even did some stupid things but he was always so innocent, he was the kind of character you could never hate. Plus, that hair, his smile and dimple, those teeth, his converse and clothes, gosh, he was just amazing to look at. (I think my love for this fictional character has made me biased, but this is my blog and I can chose whoever I want for character OTW, so suck on that!)

I think Adam Brody did a great job portraying the awkward, shy, nerdy high-school student pining for the beautiful popular girl. He made the character who he was. When you talk to any fan of the show, they will tell you that Seth Cohen was the best character because he was funny and weird, and most of all (and most importantly) he was relatable.

I wouldn't mind Adam back on my television screen playing another character like Seth. I love seeing him in movies of course, but I'd really enjoy seeing him showing up in my room once a week- making me laugh, being awkward, and making me wish that I could be Mrs. Brody. Hey, it could happen!

Website OTW

The Website of the Week is:

www.IMDB.com

If you're just now hearing of this website, I'm very sorry you've been missing out for so long. This so happens to be one of my top favorite sites ever! IMDB stands for Internet Movie Database. (Duh, it's right under the logo!) I am such a movie/television/celebrity freak that this website makes me drool. (Not literally of course).

Ever been watching a movie and wonder "where the heck have I seen that person before?" or "what is that actors name?!". Just go to this site and type the movie title in the search bar. Either it'll go directly to it's page or it'll give you different ones to choose from, because not all movie titles are so original (shock!). Once you're at a movie page, or television page, there's so much information provided. Synopsis, trailers, tagline, awards, genre, writer, director, the cast lists, pictures, and more! You can also search or click on an actor and see pretty much everything they've done in their career, from the movies they were in, guest spots they had, soundtracks they were on, and so much more.

It's also really great to use if you want to know what movies you haven't seen that favorite actors are in, or what their upcoming projects are. And while you're there, don't worry about checking Fandango or searching for the Top Box Office movies, upcoming movies, movies opening that week, newly released DVDS, TV listings, and so much more, because it's all on the homepage.

Once you have discovered this site, you will understand how useful and addicting it can be! Better bookmark it now, it'll come in handy.

Hell Yea!

Wasn't I just saying The CW has some of the best shows ever?! Well, I am super excited to learn that they've created yet another show I cannot wait to watch. The show is titled Hellcats and stars two gorgeous (I'm so jealous) Disney starlets. Ashley Tisdale (who is freakin' fantastic) and Aly Michalka. And the best part is: it's about college CHEERLEADING! I love anything cheer related, so I'm really psyched about this!

above: Ashley Tisdale (left) Aly Michalka (right) via www.j14.com

Tisdale plays Sierra, the captain of the cheer squad who is roommates with Michalka, who plays Marti. Of course, Sierra doesn't like Marti at first, but realizes that she might just be what the Hellcats need to win the championship. And Marti has to join just to stay in school (she loses her scholarship because of cutbacks and her mother).
Knowing the CW, there will be lots of drama. Plus it is the cheerleading world, and that alone is major drama. (Believe me I know). It'll be nice to see them playing more adult roles, because the CW doesn't touch children programs, their shows are all about sex, drama, and scandal!
Also, I haven't seen anything about cheerleading on TV or in movies since the original Bring it On. So, let's hope they get it right. The only thing the CW hasn't gotten right since I've been obsessed with their shows have been Melrose Place and canceling Veronica Mars.

Also, check out Ashley Tisdale's album Guilty Pleasure and Aly & AJ's album Insomniatic. Very good music!
